The Opportunity
Weaver Vale Housing Trust has an exciting opportunity for someone who is looking to develop their career with a great company. We are looking for a driven, diligent, and friendly Advanced Multi Skilled Operative to join our Voids Team. We have over 6500 properties, which are maintained using our in-house trade teams and are therefore seeking an experienced trades person with a multi-discipline background. The successful candidate will work full time, on a permanent basis, across our Property Services team.

What Will You Do?
As an Advanced Multi-Skilled Operative at Weaver Vale Housing Trust, you will carry out a range of planned, cyclical, void and responsive repair works. It would be an advantage to be competent in all aspects of building maintenance with a recognised qualification. You will be expected to work safely, following specific guidelines, assessing risk, and maintaining the completion of on-going health and safety training. The role will see you carrying out a range of repairs and maintenance tasks inclusive of plumbing, joinery, brickwork, roofing and plastering work on empty and tenanted homes.

This exciting role will provide opportunities to work within the full range of Weaver Vale Housing Trust’s stock, helping transform homes and services to improve the quality of life for our customers.

The working week will consist of 40 hours, and these hours will be worked between the hours of 08:30 am and 5pm Monday to Friday. In addition, you will be required to participate in the Trust callout rota and work within a 30-mile radius of Gadbrook Point, Northwich.

Minimum Requirements For This Role*
• Completed a recognised trade apprenticeship to City and Guilds, NVQ or equivalent qualification standard

• Working in domestic or commercial environment for building works

• Ability to complete 80% of the advanced multi skilled matrix

• Willingness to undertake further qualifications in areas such as health and safety and general management

• Full clean UK driving licence

This role will require the successful candidate to undergo a DBS check.
