Gadbrook Park is well on its way to becoming a hedgehog friendly business park with five hedgehog boxes funded by the BID installed
at Timberwise, Willows Vets, Turnkey, H&M Disinfection Systems and Looking Forward Activities, with a further six boxes due to be installed in the next few weeks.

The hedgehog boxes form part of a Business Park wide scheme across Gadbrook Park to help improve the biodiversity of the area as part of the Business Improvement District, with bat and bird boxes due to be installed in the winter along with solitary bee habitats in the spring.

Tips for making your business premises hedgehog friendly:

If you or any contractors are doing any maintenance work including strimming, please ensure any areas have been checked first for sheltering hedgehogs. Hedgehogs won’t run away from a strimmer and many injuries they sustain end up fatal.

If you spot an injured or unwell hedgehog out in the daytime, please carefully place it in a cardboard box and bring inside to a quiet place, then ring the local Northwich hedgehog rescue centre who can assist
on 07816 096849.
